Experienced Optical Assistant Vacancy October 2019
15 October 2019
An exciting opportunity for an experienced (18 months or more) Optical Assistant to join our small, friendly, award winning team. Please phone us on 07944 084367 for an application form and more details.
What we are known for:
Being experienced experts in vision.
We know our stuff, but have a very human and friendly approach. We value people. We know that people feel valued when they are understood and when their eyecare and eyewear needs are met in a way that shows we understand their daily life. We strive to make the process of having an eye examination and choosing new glasses interesting, friendly and reassuring. What we offer is much more than just an eye examination, glasses or contact lenses, it is also how our patients feel as they walk out of our door.
Friendly and Professional Team.
Our small team feels like family working together towards a common purpose – to create a pleasant and well-ordered business that our staff and patient enjoy coming to. We place great value on the relationships that build as we go about our daily work.
Attention to detail.
At Keyes Eyecare we offer our patients peace of mind through our high standards, attention to detail and relaxed, unrushed consultations. We are known for being good problem solvers and attract patients with more complex problems.
We aspire to provide a completely different experience from most opticians. We strive to provide an experience that is as far from a conveyor belt experience as our patients could imagine.
As a friendly welcoming place in the heart of the Ashburton Road community, patients often just drop by for a chat, to bring us scones or share their latest holiday photos with us.
We are a small, friendly, award winning opticians practice. We are focused on valuing people, with the strong desire to make a genuine difference to people's lives. We get very excited about glasses, contact lenses and eye care and love to share that enthusiasm with our patients.
The successful candidate will:
Have a natural interest in people
Each member of our team has a great memory for faces and people and an interest in what makes them tick. For example, if we have met someone before, we feel that we have let them down if we can't greet them by name as they come through the door.
Be an excellent communicator
You will be articulate, able to communicate clearly on the phone and in person with people of ages - from children through to the elderly.
You will be able to inspire confidence to reassure patients that they are in capable hands.
Have high standards
Our team won the 2018 Association of Optometrists Optical Team of the year award. On winning this national award last year, the judges commented, “"Communicating each patient's eye care needs on a personal level, tailored to each individual, sets our AOP Awards winners apart."
Be enthusiastic about professional development and self-improvement
This is the ideal position for someone who wants to continue to learn and expand his/her abilities to deliver the highest possible level of dispensing expertise alongside a world-class customer experience.
Get as excited about eyecare and eyewear as we do.
If you get passionate about eyewear, this is a great place to do so.
Simply put, you enjoy dispensing quality eyewear and are confident to do so with warmth and enthusiasm.
